What is on the dice score sheet?
Two things on one page. The scorekeeper is for the game you are playing right now: type each box as it is scored, and the subtotal, the bonus and the grand total keep themselves. The printable card is for people who would rather have paper — blank, six columns, two cards to a sheet, exactly how a bought pad is cut.
Nothing is uploaded and nothing needs an account. The game you are keeping lives in your own browser, which means a dropped phone or an accidental reload does not cost you the scores.
How does the 63 bonus work?
The upper section — ones through sixes — carries a bonus of 35 points if it totals 63 or more. That number is not arbitrary: 63 is exactly three of each face. Score three of every number and you land on it precisely.
Which is why the interesting decisions happen early. Four sixes puts you six points ahead of the pace and buys the right to miss elsewhere; two threes puts you three behind and somebody has to make it up. The sheet shows each column against 63 while the upper section is still open, so you can see who is on track without doing the arithmetic in your head.
A zero is a legal move and often a good one. Late in a game the choice is usually which box to give up, not whether to give one up at all — and the cheapest zero is almost always the one that does not cost you the bonus.
How to print a blank five-dice score card
Choose Blank cards, pick how many pages, and print. Each page carries two cards with six player columns, on A4 or US Letter. Print three pages before a family evening and the pad lasts the week.
The hints stay on the printed card — what each box counts, what a full house is worth, the 63 for the bonus — so the person keeping score does not have to be the person who knows the rules.
Which dice games does this score card fit?
Five dice, thirteen boxes and a bonus at 63 describe a whole family rather than one game. The scoring you know as Yahtzee is the same shape as Scandinavian Yatzy, South American Generala, Kismet and most of the free dice games in the app stores. The box names here are the generic ones — three of a kind, full house, five of a kind — because those describe what you actually have to roll.
The details vary between editions, mostly around what a second five of a kind is worth and whether it can be used as a joker. The card carries a row for the extra hundreds; check your own rulebook for how they are earned.
Five-dice scoring: questions people ask
Which games does this fit? Any five-dice game of the Yacht family: the thirteen boxes, the upper section of ones through sixes and the bonus at 63 are shared by Yahtzee, Yatzy, Generala, Kismet and the free versions in every app store. Rules differ in the details, so check yours for how a second five of a kind counts.
Where do my scores go? Nowhere. They live in your own browser, so a reload or a closed tab will not lose the game, and nothing is ever sent to a server. Pressing New game twice clears them.
How does the 63 bonus work? Add up only the upper section — ones through sixes. Reach 63 and you get 35 points on top. 63 is three of each number, so banking four of a kind early in the sixes and fives buys room to fall short later.
What are the fixed scores? Full house 25, small straight 30, large straight 40, five of a kind 50. Three of a kind, four of a kind and chance score the total of all five dice. Anything you cannot make is written as a zero, and the zero is a real move — sometimes the right one.
Can I print blank cards? Yes, two to a page with six player columns each, the way a bought pad is cut. Choose one, two or three pages for two, four or six cards.
Does it work on a phone? That is what it is for. The number fields open the numeric keypad, the totals update as you type, and the sheet survives the screen locking mid-game.
